A night to remember at 'Jazz Across The Heights' - Jazz Trio London

A few weeks ago I had the joy of performing with my jazz band in London, The OLI GOSH Jazz Trio, featuring the outstanding Ben Lammin on double bass and the exceptional Will Hobson on piano. Both Ben and Will are highly accomplished jazz musicians from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

We were part of the beautiful new concert series 'Jazz Across the Heights', created by the visionary Maria Semushkina. I first met Maria earlier this year when I performed at her jazz event at Number Eight Members Club in London on the 7th of June. It felt like one of those rare moments of synchronicity when the universe connects you with exactly the right person. Since then, I’ve been delighted to join her Cult Lab Agency, which represents leading jazz artists and supports creative projects across the UK and beyond.

Maria’s background is extraordinary. She founded the world-renowned Usadba Jazz International Festival in Russia, one of Europe’s most celebrated open-air jazz events, and now brings that same spirit to the UK through 'Jazz Across the Heights'.

Our concert took place at Botley Hill Barn in Surrey, a breathtaking venue surrounded by rolling hills. The audience was wonderful, warm, and fully with us from the first note. By the time we ended with “Hit the Road Jack,” the whole room was singing, laughing, and dancing at the back.

It was a night filled with joy, jazz music, and connection. I left feeling inspired, grateful, and so excited for what’s to come!
